History

Picture of Inova Hospital The Office of Continuing Medical Education (OCME) at Inova Health System has been committed to sharing a wealth of knowledge with physicians and other medical professionals across the country since it was first accredited by the Medical Society of Virginia in 1991. In 1996, the CME program fell under the Institute of Research and Education but effective fall 2002, the Office of Continuing Medical Education was made its own department within Inova Health System (IHS).

Organizational Structure

The OCME reports to Loring S. Flint, M.D. Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer and Interim CEO of Inova Medical Group and is under the direction of H. David Reines, MD, Director of Continuing Medical Education. The office is comprised of five staff members: one Director, one Manager, a Senior Meeting Planner, a Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS) Coordinator and a E-Learning Coordinator.
